You may get anything in the Network - even to buy used woodwinds. Woodwind musical instruments are the appliances where flute, clarinet, bassoon and saxophone are included in. They are called woodwinds because in the Middle Ages when these instruments were produced people made them from timber. This kind of manufacturing is left in the past but some people still use wood in the structure of these instruments. After the way of blowing the Chinese woodwinds are shared into two kinds: labial and lingual. The conception of playing on labials is in injecting the air into the transversal hole on the upside of the woodwind. Sharp border of the opening separates the air stream. It is the reason of air vibrating within the tube where the sound emerges. Flute refers to this kind of instruments. The structure of lingual woodwinds is a little bit differing. There is a reed through which the artist injects the air. Clarinet and saxophone are concerned to be lingual together with some types of uncommon instruments. The reed is attached to the upside of the musical instrument and it becomes the stimulant of the air column vibration inside the tube. The reeds may be of two variants: single and double. A single reed is some kind of a thin cane blade. The opening in the mouthpiece of the woodwind instrument is closed by it so that only the small orifice is left. Resonance of the reed helps to close and open the channel in the mouthpiece of the instrument. A double reed is composed of two cane laminas compactly united with each other.
